FAQ

Here are some answers to my most Frequently Asked Questions. Can't find the answer you are looking for? No problem! Just reach out to me through the Contact page and I will help however I can.

GENERAL

Are your products really all handmade?
Yup! All of the products on my site are handmade by me in my home studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

What materials do you use in your products?
It varies depending on the product, so I list the different materials individual in the product details. If you have a question about a product and the information you are looking for isn't in the details, contact me and I will do my best to get you an answer.

Are you available for commissions?
If you are interested in commissioning a custom image, please contact me and we can work out the details.

I entered the incorrect shipping address, what should I do?
No worries! If your item has not shipped yet, please contact me asap, and I will happily update the shipping address for you.

Do you send a receipt along with the product?
I no longer automatically send a printed receipt/packing slip - but you are emailed when you place an order and when your order has shipped. If you would like a printed copy, please leave a note and I will certainly send one to you.

I'm sending my purchase as a gift, can a note be sent along with the package?
Yes! As long as the item hasn't shipped yet, I can take care of that for you. Just let me know what you want the note to say during the checkout process, and I will add a little card from you!

PAYMENT

What payment types are accepted and how are they processed?
All major credit/debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express & Discover) are accepted. Payments are processed securely through Stripe, PayPal or ApplePay.

SHIPPING

How soon does the product ship after I place my order?
I try to mail orders out within 48 hours after they have been placed, and in general should be received within 3-5 business days, provided there is no delay with the shipping carrier.

Do you offer expedited shipping?
Yes! Just select the expedited shipping option during the checkout process.

Do you offer pick-up or delivery for local residents?
Yes! Just select the local pick-up option during the checkout process. I will then contact you via email to arrange a pick-up location and time.

Is there an extra shipping charge if I purchase more than one item in one transaction?
If you order more than one product during a single transaction, standard (or expedited) shipping rates apply plus an additional $0.75 per additional item.

Do you ship internationally?
Right now I am only able to ship orders within the United States.

RETURNS

What is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with your order, please contact me within 10 days of receipt. We will work together to figure out how to make it right for both parties. Only products that are undamaged are eligible for a refund or replacement.
Please note that if you are sending a product back, shipping costs are your responsibility. Skyliner Studio is not responsible for any lost or stolen merchandise incurred upon return shipping.

PRINT SPECIFIC

What is a Limited Edition Print?
Printmaking enables an artist to create multiple original pieces of art, called prints. A limited edition is the number of original prints of that image that exist. If it says 50, there will only ever be 50! Check out my Print 101 page to learn more about this and for other information about the world of printmaking.

How are prints priced?
There is no hard, fast rule for pricing prints. Generally speaking, the factors that go into pricing a print are the materials used (some papers are more expensive than others) and the complexity of the print. A simple 1-layer screen print will be less expensive than a multi-layer print, which not only takes more time, but also results in more rejects. Ultimately I want to balance making enough so I can keep Skyliner Studio going, while keeping my prints affordable so more people can enjoy them!

How are prints shipped to avoid damage?
I take protecting fine art prints very seriously!  All of my prints are shipped in flat mailers, nestled between firm cardboard in order to prevent damage to the print.

Do prints come matted or framed?
No. Mainly because everyone's taste is different, and the framing and matting options are vast!

What size frame do I need for your prints?
Great question! The dimension of my different prints varies, but I do try to make images that will fit in standard sized frames. If a print would fit well in a standard sized frame I generally try to add that in to the product details. Framing can get quite expensive, but if you can get by with a cheap frame from IKEA, Target or Art To Frames, why not, right?!?
